HVAC Service Technician
Successful candidate must be able to perform a wide variety of HVAC repair/installation and maintenance tasks in the residential and light commercial market. This position has potential for growth within our family-owned company. The ability to provide a high level of customer service is essential to this position. We are looking for a team player who is committed to providing excellent customer service while working in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Work includes general residential and commercial heat pump, AC condenser, furnaces, geo-thermal heating and air conditioning, air purification and ventilation.
Responsibilities:
- Service Air conditioning and heating systems in residential and light-commercial environments in accordance with current codes.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
- Identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
- Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Promote products and services to customer.
- Produce and maintain organized records and reports.
- Maintain company vehicle in clean and proper working order with an organized inventory of HVAC repair necessities.
- Ensure company tools are being used safely, maintained properly and accounted for.
- Have own tools to perform repair/installation and maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
- Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years’ experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Must have a driver's license, clean driving record and capability to pass a drug/alcohol test.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient time-management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with national, state and local HVAC code regulations.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate from a trade/vocational school HVAC program or other construction-related program preferred.
- EPA Certification.
- The physical ability to work in ceilings, crawl spaces, chases and other confined work areas is also required.
