HVAC Service Technician

Successful candidate must be able to perform a wide variety of HVAC repair/installation and maintenance tasks in the residential and light commercial market. This position has potential for growth within our family-owned company. The ability to provide a high level of customer service is essential to this position. We are looking for a team player who is committed to providing excellent customer service while working in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Work includes general residential and commercial heat pump, AC condenser, furnaces, geo-thermal heating and air conditioning, air purification and ventilation.

Responsibilities:

  • Service Air conditioning and heating systems in residential and light-commercial environments in accordance with current codes.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Promote products and services to customer.
  • Produce and maintain organized records and reports.
  • Maintain company vehicle in clean and proper working order with an organized inventory of HVAC repair necessities.
  • Ensure company tools are being used safely, maintained properly and accounted for.
  • Have own tools to perform repair/installation and maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
  • Perform other similar duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years’ experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • Must have a driver's license, clean driving record and capability to pass a drug/alcohol test.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Efficient time-management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with national, state and local HVAC code regulations.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate from a trade/vocational school HVAC program or other construction-related program preferred.
  • EPA Certification.
  • The physical ability to work in ceilings, crawl spaces, chases and other confined work areas is also required.
